Ladies,
Welcome to One Needful Thing! I am excited about the opportunity we have to learn more about our Savior together.
My goal in writing is first and foremost the for the glory, honor and praise of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Secondly, to put down many of my thoughts, ideas and practical tips for my own daughters. So they will be able to remember the many things I’ve taught them and pass them on to their daughters. And finally, my goal for One Needful Thing is to encourage and bless other mothers as they strive to obey the Lord.
One Needful Thing was started to encourage and come along side wives and mothers and encourage them to remember the “one needful thing”.
The focus of One Needful Thing is based on three different passages:
Luke 10:38-42Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
I have found in my personal life it is so easy to be as Martha – busy with the daily things of the house. All of the responsibilities of keeping the house clean, doing the dishes, laundry, training the children, caring for the needs of my husband, that I have often left God for later.
Titus 2:3-5 “The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”

I Timothy 5:14 “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.”
I will be writing what I believe in accordance to the Word of God. I will do my very best to back every I believe up with the Word of God, as I believe the Word of God is sufficient for all of life.
II Timothy 3:16-17 “16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
I realize that there are those who may not agree with what I believe . This website is designed to encourage women, not a place to argue. Please, when you comment speak words of kindness.
Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
