Ham/cheese/mustard sandwiches

1/2 c. butter
2 Tablespoons onion (I just use minced onion)
2 Tablespoons mustard
1 Tablespoon poppyseed

Melt ingredients together. Set aside.

8 hamburger buns
1 lb shaved ham (2 pieces of meat per sandwich)
1/2 lb baby swiss cheese (1 slice per sandwich)

Tear off a sheet of heavy tin foil (the size will depend if you are wrapping them individually or all together). When I put these together, I usually lay it all out on a cookie sheet. It goes much faster. Open up bun and lay open on the tin foil. Put one spoon of sauce on the inside of the bun (both pieces).  Put a slice of ham on top of the sauce on both sides. Then put one slice of cheese on one side of the bun. Close bun, and put one spoonful of sauce on the top of the sandwich, allowing the sauce to run off the sides. Fold tin foil around sandwich. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes – until the cheese is melted and sandwich is hot.

These sandwiches are a favorite to serve when we have company or for a church fellowship (a meal the kids can help make too). They are great left over. Also good for a game day (hubby likes to watch football!) or quick supper before or after church Sunday p.m. You can wrap them individually in tin foil or all together if you are just serving to your family. Another thing about these sandwiches – my husband and I both HATE mustard. But we are both crazy about these sandwiches.
